Congratulations to the CrowdDB team which was selected as BEST DEMO at this week's Very Large DB Conference. CrowdDB seeks human input from Workers on Mechanical Turk when DB queries cannot be processed by computers alone, for instance when data is incomplete or when subjective comparisons need to be made. The demo showed the CrowdDB system running live queries over Amazon Mechanical Turk.
The CrowdDB system is a collaboration between the AMPLab at Berkeley and the Systems group at ETH Zurich. More information on the demo can be found here.
